One of the most amazing programs Ulpana offered to students was the “big sister” program. A grade 12 student would have the opportunity to be a “big sister” to an incoming grade 9 student. I valued the unique opportunity I had to build a relationship with my “little sister” and be someone she could always come to for advice or just a listening ear.
